Vignesh Vyas is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of dedicated practice across NHS and Social Care settings in various capacities. Specialising in mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions – including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and personality disorders – Vignesh combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion in every interaction. He applies a trauma-informed, goal-focused approach to support individuals in achieving meaningful outcomes.
Holding an MSc in Occupational Therapy (University of East Anglia, 2019) and a MA in Film Production (Staffordshire University, 2016), Vignesh uniquely bridges two disciplines. He is Solution-Focused Therapy trained (Level 2, APT, 2022) and has completed ADHD diagnosis and assessment training through UKAAN (2022).
At the heart of Vignesh’s practice lies a distinctive innovation: Therapeutic Filmmaking – a creative approach that merges occupational therapy with filmmaking to develop essential life skills and foster meaningful recovery, and discovery. This methodology has garnered significant international recognition, including the Behind-the-Scenes Champion Award from InsideOut Awards (2024) and Highly Commendable status at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards (2022). His research has been celebrated with the President’s Prize from the Association of Medical Humanities (Ireland, 2021).
An active contributor to the field, Vignesh has presented his research at international conferences and is due to publish a chapter on Post-Traumatic Growth (January 2026).
Vignesh is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that support both recovery and discovery, helping people build confidence, skills, and hope for the future. At the heart of what he does is a belief that creativity has a place in clinical practice – not as an add-on, but as a powerful tool for change.
