Dr Olutobi Oyebanjo

Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Olutobi Oyebanjo is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of medical practice, specialising in neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD and autism, alongside a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

Dr Oyebanjo founded Spectrum Mind Healthcare to provide a psychiatrist-led neurodevelopmental and psychiatric assessment service, grounded in evidence-based practice and clear medical accountability. His clinical approach is holistic and multidisciplinary, recognising the close interaction between neurodevelopmental differences and broader mental health needs.

A whole-person clinical approach

He has over 14 years of experience working within the NHS, with clinical practice spanning children, adults, and older adults. This breadth of experience allows him to assess and manage complex presentations, including co-occurring psychiatric and neurodevelopmental conditions, ensuring that all aspects of an individual’s mental health are carefully considered.

Dr Oyebanjo is known for delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments, taking into account each individual’s background, lived experience, and social context. He combines clinical rigour with a compassionate, patient-centred approach, working collaboratively with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored treatment plans that support both immediate needs and long-term wellbeing.

His qualifications include a medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and postgraduate training in International Health Management from Imperial College London Business School. He completed his postgraduate psychiatry training across the London and East of England Deaneries and holds a General Medical Council (GMC) Endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry, reflecting advanced specialist training in the assessment and management of complex psychiatric presentations at the interface of physical and mental health. He also has additional specialist experience in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, enabling him to offer both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions tailored to individual clinical needs.

Dr Oyebanjo is a strong advocate for advancing understanding in neurodevelopmental psychiatry and regularly contributes to educational initiatives, masterclasses, and professional workshops. His expertise is widely respected within the field.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr Oyebanjo enjoys travelling, sport, and keeping up to date with emerging research in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders.
